Editor’s Message

Welcome to a new issue of SnowOps and the start of a new snow season for North America.

We are in midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and my thoughts are going out to everyone because we truly are all in this together.

This issue is packed with articles to get ski resorts and trail networks ready for one of the biggest threats to our industry: climate change.

We’ve packed this issue with great articles on some emerging technologies to help you get your slopes and trails in tip-top shape.

As ski areas continue the transition to off-season, I hope our annual guides will give you some inspiration for the next season.

The hills are hopping, the trails are alive with the sound of snowmobiles; winter has arrived. As snow area operations are in full swing I hope you find a moment to relax with this issue of SnowOps.

Welcome back! I hope this issue of SnowOps finds you coming off of a safe and enjoyable summer.

Just like that, we say farewell to another snow season. However, April also means this issue has our annual guides tucked inside.
