Finding volunteers to operate grooming equipment is becoming a
major challenge for many snowmobile clubs. Between working in
the dead of night, frigid weather and remoteness, there are plenty
of reasons for potential volunteers to decline this job.
The new Soucy S-TECH 600G / GX aims at making grooming a
more pleasant job for these volunteers through a range of new
features and changes. It all starts with a vastly improved ride thanks
to a new track and undercarriage design. In addition to the front
and rear undercarriages oscillating to follow ground contours, the
rear undercarriages integrate walking tandem on midroller axles
to reduce impacts and vibrations from smaller bumps on the trail.
Operators will be able to work faster with less fatigue.
Making life better for operators doesn’t begin on the trails: it
starts at the shop. The new undercarriage design eliminates the
need for daily or weekly maintenance thanks to oil bath hubs on
all midroller and idler axles. Greasing will become a thing of the
past. Other than visual checks, these new tracks require virtually
no daily maintenance. Clearing snow and ice isn’t fun, regardless of
temperature. The all-new central frame design reduces snow and
ice accumulation, and makes it easier than ever to clean up. This
new maintenance schedule will mean more time spent in the trails
and less downtime for cleaning and servicing the tracks.
Operators will benefit greatly from increased performance and
improved uptime. They will spend less time servicing, groom more
efficiently and do it all in much more comfortable conditions.

mind. The external tread
profile has been optimized
to further reduce vibrations
while maintaining excellent
traction in all conditions.
For the most extreme
slopes, the Soucy ice studs and “Track Claws” traction aids can be
fitted to the tracks to provide unmatched traction (not available on
all tractor models).
