Equipment Comparison Guide
It is time to submit products for the 2021 SnowOps
Equipment Comparison Guide (ECG). The ECG is the
focal point of the April issue and will be featured all
year on www.SnowOpsMag.com.
To be included in this year’s ECG, original equipment
manufacturers (OEMs) must submit their product
spec sheets and photos directly to SnowOps editor,
Lindsay Risto, at editor@snowopsmag.com, clearly
indicating which category the information provided is for.
Photos can be submitted either directly to Lindsay Risto or
via a file transfer service such as Dropbox or WeTransfer.
All content, including equipment specs and photos, must
be submitted no later than Feb. 19, 2021, to be included
in this year’s ECG.

Alpine Groomers
Mid-sized: An alpine groomer up to 400 horsepower (hp)
used in grooming ski areas, side hills and slopes with up to a
35 percent slope.
Large: An alpine groomer over 400 hp used in grooming ski
areas, side hills and slopes with up to a 35 percent slope.
LITE Groomers
On-snow vehicle with two or more tracks, must be under
150 hp with a cab for two or more people and able to pull a
minimum of 1,000 pounds (lb.).
Trail Groomers
Mid-sized: Equipment used for cross-country ski and
snowmobile trail grooming, 150 to 250 hp.
Large: Equipment used for cross-country ski and snowmobile
trail grooming, over 200 hp.
Winch Groomers
Must include a winch apparatus and an engine over 400 hp.
Grooming Drags
Small: Must be between four feet and six feet in width, and
between eight feet and 12 feet in length.
Mid-sized: Width must be minimum seven feet and
maximum 10 feet. Length must be minimum 16 feet and no
longer than 20 feet.
